Capital Circle Southeast Construction Progress Update
(Tram Road to Merchants Row) Segment 2A – During the week of December 5, 2005, crews are continuing to work on utility relocations. Crews continue to spread topsoil on Pond 3. Chilled waterline pipes are being stock piled on site.
Additionally, crews will be placing stabilized embankment north of Tram Road. Crews are scheduled to begin work on the placement of curb and gutter. The installation of pipes for closed stormwater drainage system continues.
This work will be conducted away from the roadway and is not expected to impact traffic. However, motorists should be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zone.
(Barcelona Lane to Hill Lane) Segment 3 – Crews will continue stockpiling embankment material. Installation and monitoring of erosion control measures continues on this segment.
Construction of the $30.5 million project began in May 2005 and is scheduled for completion in early 2008. However, wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances may affect construction schedules. Find details on this project and other Blueprint 2000 projects at www.blueprint2000.org.
