Capital Circle Southeast Construction Progress Update

(Tram Road to Barcelona Lane) Segment 2 - The week of October 24, crews are continuing to work on utility relocations. Additionally, work on the City of Tallahassee water and sewer lines continues on this segment. Work on 42-inch existing waste water line on Segment 2 depends on installation of a 30-inch force main bypass between (Riggins Road and Miccosukee Road intersection to a connection with an existing 24-inch diameter wastewater force main located approximately 500 feet south of US 90.) Construction of this force main is now substantially completed

In the next two weeks, crews will be installing a closed drainage system and continue roadway construction between Tram Road and Merchants Row Boulevard. This work will be conducted away from the roadway and is not expected to impact traffic. However, motorists should be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zone.

Construction of the $36 million project began in May 2005 and is scheduled for completion in early 2008. However, wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances may affect construction schedules. Find details on this project and other Blueprint 2000 projects at www.blueprint2000.org.
