WORK ON CAPITAL CIRCLE SOUTHEAST - CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
(Tram Road to Merchants Row) Segment 2A – During the week of January 16, crews
are scheduled to continue the installation of storm drainage pipes. Additionally, crews
will begin the placement of asphalt. This work will be conducted away from the
roadway and is not expected to impact traffic.
(Tram Road to Barcelona Lane) Segment 2 - Next two weeks, construction crews
continue the placement of embankment north of Tram Road, to just south of Orange
Avenue.
(Barcelona Lane to Hill Lane) Segment 3 – This week crews continue placement of
embankment material on this segment. Next two weeks, construction crews continue
the placement of embankment north of Tram Road, to just south of Orange Avenue.
Maintenance of Traffic Issues (MOT) – Crews will be installing temporary signals at
Merchants Row and Monday Road (for embankment construction). Motorists should be
alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway.
Construction of the $36 million project began in May 2005 and is scheduled for
completion in early 2008. However, wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances
