Road Closures Scheduled for Old St. Augustine Road and Blair Stone Road

Tallahassee – The Leon County-City of Tallahassee Blueprint 2000 Intergovernmental Agency announces the following road closures for Old St. Augustine Road and Blair Stone Road beginning January 15 to February 15, 2007.

Motorists are advised that Old St. Augustine Road will be closed on the eastside of Capital Circle Southeast. Traffic will be detoured via Southwood Plantation Road to US 27 to Capital Circle Southeast.

A Traffic Control Officer will be on duty at US 27 and Southwood Plantation Road intersection from 7-9 am and 4-6 pm to assist in traffic control.

Motorists are advised that Blair Stone Road will be closed on the eastside of Capital Circle Southeast. Traffic will be detoured via Esplanade Way to
Merchants Row Boulevard. The road closure is needed for construction of
Capital Circle Southeast and the Blair Stone Road intersection.

Message boards will be placed throughout the corridor to notify motorists. Construction of the $36 million project began in May 2005 and is scheduled to finish in early 2008. However, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong construction activities.
